The memoir tells the tale of a young Jewish child who was separated from his parents and forced into hiding in Amsterdam during the Holocaust. Leo's parents\, also in hiding\, had no knowledge of his whereabouts or safety. After surviving and reuniting post-war\, they arrived in Port Washington in 1947.
