Landmark Radio Theater presents the premiere of &ldquo\;Off the Rails\,&rdquo\; an original play in the classic style of radio dramas from the Golden Age of broadcasting\, performed live on stage at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater.
\n\n&ldquo\;Off the Rails&rdquo\; tells the story of seven strangers on a train from Port Washington on a winter night in 1942. Some are chasing new hopes\, others are on the run from old troubles &mdash\; and one is an enemy agent! When a blizzard imperils the train\, sparks fly\, dangers mount and dark secrets are revealed.
\n\nA cast of talented performers will give voice to the story&rsquo\;s array of vivid characters\, with live music and sound effects created right on stage. The hourlong performance will also feature period-style station breaks between acts.
\n\nLandmark Radio Theater&rsquo\;s previous productions have been a hit with audiences\, including radio-drama adaptations of the classic films &ldquo\;Stagecoach\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Stage Door&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;The Man Who Came to Dinner\,&rdquo\; and last year&rsquo\;s premiere of an original murder mystery\, &ldquo\;Murder in Studio 2B.&rdquo\; Everyone is invited to get in on the fun this year with &ldquo\;Off the Rails.&rdquo\;
