DESCRIPTION:Councilwoman Mariann Dalimonte is asking the Port Washington community to come out and support the lighting of the Gold Tree in recognition of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. The Gold Tree\, a symbol of strength\, hope\, and remembrance\, will be illuminated to honor children and families affected by pediatric cancer and to raise awareness about the urgent need for increased research and support.\n\nAs part of the event\, Elyssa Slutsky and Carol Ruchalski will be speaking. Light the Way lanterns and gold bows will be available for purchase\, If you wish to purchase a bow or lantern before the event\, Smusht located at 158 Main Street will have them while supplies last. All the proceeds benefiting the Mary Ruchalski Foundation\, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing pediatric cancer research and supporting families impacted by the disease.\n\n\n\nThe Port Washington Chamber of Commerce invites you to Try Port First and visit our wonderful merchant and restaurant members who support our community.
