Description
Join North Shore University Hospital professionals to learn about pool safety and drowning prevention just in time for summer. The presentation will last approximately 40 minutes with 15-20 minus for Q&A. Light refreshments will be served. Pool Safety (How to keep kids out of the pool and prevent drowning) Immediate First Steps if a child has fallen in the pool/what to do until help arrives (checking pulse, basic infant CPR information) Ocean Safety Why life vests are not the best option in pools, preventing electrical shock in pools Resources- Where to Get Infant CPR certified and get your child swim lessons in the community
