About Us

Richard is Principal of a strategic crisis management advisory firm, RMF Crisis Management Consultants LLC and a legal practice, Richard M. Frankel, Attorney at Law PLLC. These firms are dedicated to helping clients in areas of crisis management, national security, government relations, cybersecurity, asset identification, due diligence and global white-collar crime & internal investigations. Richard has extensive investigative experience and provides his clients with insight on terrorism, criminal and intelligence-related matters. Richard provides expert commentary for ABC News and TV documentaries. Previously, Richard led several FBI Field Divisions as Special Agent In-Charge. In this capacity Richard oversaw criminal investigations, as well as undercover and tactical operations. Richard also served as the Associate Director of National Intelligence. Richard is a Senior Fellow with The Soufan Center, a non-partisan research and strategy center dedicated to increasing awareness of global security. He is serves as a member on the Advisory Board of the Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation; a non-profit honoring fallen and wounded members of Federal Law Enforcement. Furthermore, Richard has been coaching several youth sports teams in his hometown for 20 years. Richard’s government service began as Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County.
