CancerCare Port Washington

CancerCare of Port Washington/Manhasset is a member organization has been raising money for the support of cancer patients and their families and caregivers since 1971. All funds raised by our group are sent to CancerCare.org to help fund the services they provide.

Our signature fundraising event, the Red Stocking Revue, combines local talent, music, comedy, and community spirit to raise funds for CancerCare and their essential services. Over 43 productions, dedicated volunteers have entertained audiences while helping thousands in need. With nearly 50 years of commitment from its members, CancerCare continues to be a beacon of compassion and support for Port Washington, Manhasset, and the surrounding communities.

CancerCare is a national nonprofit, 501 (c) 3 organization that provides professional support services to anyone affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved. CancerCare programs—including counseling and support groups, education, financial assistance and practical help—are provided by professional oncology social workers and are completely free of charge. Founded in 1944, CancerCare provides individual help to more than 100,000 people every year, in addition to the more than 1 million unique visitors to our websites.
