  • Tell us about Kiwanis:

    The Manhasset-Port Washington Kiwanis Club is a service club passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. We are part of a dedicated global community, Kiwanis International, that reaches over 88 countries around the world. Helping kids grow and succeed is at the heart of everything we do.

    Whether by fundraisers such as the Manhasset Pancake Breakfast, Taste of the Town or our Annual Golf Outing, we seek to help children in any way we can. We provide scholarships, send children to Kamp Kiwanis, create awareness programs, and support local organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, the Helen Keller Center, and the Salvation Army.  Each year our club logs in thousands of service hours helping children and the community. Our latest program, Project Help, provides advocacy and education for those struggling with addictions.

    Our club meets twice a month: The second and fourth Thursday at the Port Washington Yacht Club from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Lunch is served for $30 per person. Everyone is welcome.

     

    How does Kiwanis stand apart from others?

    Kiwanis provides many opportunities for children, teens, and young adults to learn about service and leadership in the community through such programs as Key Club, Circle K, K-Kids, Aktion Club, and the Builders Club. The Key Clubs at both Schreiber High School and the Manhasset Secondary School are sponsored by our Kiwanis Club. In December we rang the Salvation Army Bells along with the Key Club at Stop n Shop, Lord & Taylor, the LIRR, and the Post Office.

     

    What would you like people to know about our Kiwanis Club:

    We are always looking for new members and new ideas to help the children in our community.
